How training makes you happy

For the past few years, the fitness industry has seen a pattern grow stronger among all age groups, gender and demographics; training with main priority to feel good, and to look good as an added benefit.

Call it a trend or simply a response to modern society and the high intensity training craze - but it seems as if training because you want to feel good, move well, be pain-free and mentally de-stress is here to stay.

Although it’s very hard to define what “feeling good” actually means, we can probably all agree that feeling good means; “to be in a happy state of mind while doing things that contribute positively to your physical and mental health in the long term”.

What actually happens inside your body in response to physical activity is a biochemical process and the release of so-called happiness hormones such as dopamine, endorphins and serotonin. Ultimately, they are what cause us to experience the feeling of satisfaction after a workout.

And as you might have heard before, physical activity is one of the most effective cures to depression that you will ever have access to.

The benefits you can get out from training to feel good expands across many aspects in your life; from building healthy relationships, making better decisions at work, being more confident, increase self awareness and just get around in life with better mobility, cleaner movement patterns and of course; for improved endurance and strength.

Our physical and mental wellbeing goes hand in hand, and in the same way it can drag you down if it isn’t nurtured or taken care of; it can lift you up and dramatically improve your quality and outlook on life.

At HAUS No3 we have worked hard to create an environment that is welcoming and friendly, creating a positive training experience that adds and contributes to other factors that create a feeling of happiness, content and satisfaction after a training session. We believe this is very important to the overall results of our guests and their general attitude towards regular physical activity.

We hope you enjoyed our post about how training can make you happy, the positive effects and the amazing benefits of being physically active.

At HAUS No3 we focus on fostering better self and body awareness in our guests. Our goal is to educate and provide the tools needed to create independence and a knowledge that carries over at work, at home or on the field.
